Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, I have always had a heart for all things art and nature. Upon graduating from Auburn University, I realized I wanted to share my love for art with others. While attending graduate school at the University of Montevallo and studying to become a Speech-Language Pathologist, I began a small art company with my talented friend, Michelle Dailey. Huck and Pippa took off and we began the journey of bringing people artwork, while spreading the love of Christ.
In 2015, my husband, Wilson, and I made the move to Florence, Alabama, where we happily reside now. With the hope to connect to our local town in a deeper way, MeadowsMade was created.
I currently work part-time at a pediatric private practice as an SLP. I chose speech therapy as my career in order to cater to both my creativity and desire to help others. My husband and I welcome our daughter, Emmett Louise, to the world in January of 2017. I am loving my new title of Mommy!
The name MeadowsMade derived from several important facets in my life. For starters, my last name is Meadows... and this site is composed of art I made... Hence, MeadowsMade. But the deeper reason to my alliteration is that as a believer, I trust we were made with a purpose. I believe I was made to share the love and beauty of Christ by creating pieces that exemplify nature. My prayer is that these creations are never mine, but His. I was made to love God, love people and love art.
